Party of Tomorrow

Beatport

Party of Tomorrow

Straight from Obama's Austin, Texas speech is a new track by Robopimp. Using his now famous words from that legendary night, Robopimp lays down a tech-house fused dance track that cleverly captures Obama's powerful message. "Party of Tomorrow" follows a deeper side of techno, with jazzy electronic chord patterns and a warm sub bass percolating in and out of Obama's gripping words.

Kate

Kate remixes

The collaborative extravaganza that is the "Kate Remixes" EP features reworks of the Venue hit "Kate" from notorious electronic producers Mark Verbos and Tim Baker alongside Spanish funksters, Robopimp. The post punk/electro/techno sound surges once again with Venue's creative juxtapose of dance music and traditional pop/rock structure. "It's what might happen if Boards of Canada produced a Girls Against Boys record." Haling from Chicago, Chris May and Brock Manke are the duo that make up Venue along with vocalist Katja Blichfeld. Three solid remixes make up the rest of the EP. Mark Verbos, recognized for his collaborations with Tommie Sunshine, effortlessly tweaks the track for a sick dance floor rendition. Tim Baker's stylish dub re-edit of "Kate" preserves the fierce momentum and transmittable groove of the original track. Robopimp's electro house floor filler and the original version round out this top quality release.
